Worked great for our nightmare before Christmas tree. We purchased two of these a year ago to get the effect, and they sat in the basement for over a year before we used them and they started right up. The remote control connects to where the wall plug is, so it’s not wireless and kind of a pain to use (bending down towards the outlet to change the pattern). The lights are very bright purplish-blue, so we just leave them continuously on. With them flashing it’s just too much. It even hurt my eyes to put them on the tree, that’s how bright they are.The line is super long and twisted, so it gets tangled very easily as you use it, no matter how you hold or wrap it.You cannot plug regular Christmas lights or a topper into this. It only plugs into similar LED lights, so you need a dedicated outlet if using more than just these LED lights (like regular Christmas lights).I would purchase these again.
