Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Dumonde Tech Lite Bike Chain Lubrication by Ivan Carson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

My chain gets dirty much faster

Nice line but works pretty much the same as Triflow or Boeshield. After each ride, the chain still needs to be wiped down to remove the black dirt. And yes, I completely degreased and wiped after application. No cleaner than any other lubricant. I wish it had a drip tube like the Tri-Flow. Becomes very runny/thin. Follow-up: It's now late September and I've ridden about 1400 miles on this bike with Dumonde. I'm sick of how dirty the chain gets after every ride. And NO, I didn't get much oil, and YES, I wiped off the excess after I worked in the lube. Apply and wipe off, just like I do TriFlow. My nickel Connex chain with Dumond went black again after only 20 miles of riding. I wipe the chain after a ride and it goes black again as soon as I finish my next 20 mile ride. It also seems to attract a lot more sand than the TriFlo. Dumond was also a real PITA to get off the chain so I could go back to TriFlow. I have 2 bikes and an alternative. My other TriFlow bike gets used about 60% of the time and this Dumond bike about 40%. A TriFlow chain is quieter and cleaner after 100 miles than a Dumond bike after 20 miles. Dumond also causes black sand to build up on gears and teeth. I ended up removing the Dumond for fear of ruining my $46 chain as well as the cassette and chainrings. I am returning to the TriFlow as I have been using it for a number of years and have put on about 12,000 miles and it has served me well. dirty drive.
