This ceiling fan is great. I was afraid it might look better in the photo than in real life, but it's not. I replaced it with my current ceiling fan that came with the house and it really enhanced the space. I like that there are 3 different colors. Another feature I really like is that the fan blades are hidden when not in use. When I have people around they don't realize it's a ceiling fan and when I turn on the fan it blows them over. To change the color of the light, you have to turn the light off and on again to turn on the light. It's a little annoying; I was hoping you could just change the color with a click of a button, but that doesn't matter. In fact, you can change the color of the light without needing a controller. You can do this with the light switch by turning it off and on again. The biggest downside to this ceiling fan is the installation. As you pass the installation, you will admire the ceiling fan. First, the instruction manual that came with the fan is terrible. The first step was misleading, and you shouldn't do that at all. I have two assistants and we tried to understand the instructions and spent a good 20 minutes trying to understand the step. We finally figured out how to connect the light kit to the fan base. I ended up finding a video guide on the product page and double-checked it. Be sure to watch all the videos before proceeding with the installation as the videos look like backyards. He showed you how to connect the fan first and attach it to the mounting bracket if that was going to be a later step. The first step is to attach the light kit to the fanbase. If you are replacing a current fan and it is installed with two switches to control it, you can also find a video on how to connect it. There is no mention of how to get back up if you release the 2nd control switch. There are videos showing how to fully thread 1 switch wire to end up installing it for 1 switch only. As a result, it took me, my brother and my father 2.5 hours to install, but it was my fault for not checking the video guide. The seller sent me a video tutorial after submitting my order, but I haven't checked via email. Overall my wife and I love this fan, it goes really well with our overall color and finish in our family room. I have received nothing but compliments from family and friends. I'm just concerned about replacing the LED strip but it should last a very long time and the seller can replace the LED strip.
