Perfect for HP Elitebook 840 G2 but won't start

Perfect for M.2 slot, no physical installation issues (HP Elitebook 840 G2 supports 2242 and 2260 cards). Attempting to install as primary drive - WIN 10 installation (via USB) recognized the drive, partitioned and installed the files, but the system finds/cannot find the EFI (bootable) file on the drive. Contacted Sabrent tech support (not very helpful but they answered) and HP tech support (again answered but not very helpful). Note that you CAN install this drive as an additional drive on the 840 G2 - when I boot the system into the OS from my SATA SSD (2.5" Crucial) the drive is available - but that's not what it is I need. returned it
