I haven't used it much. I used it on the inside corner of a plastic gutter I was building and couldn't make the bead small enough to make the corner look square. This may be user error, but I was happy with how it performed on the outer corners. I wish they sold smaller plastic poles. I'm not an expert at all, but if I were to use this all day, every day, I'd be a bit disappointed with the ergonomics. It's not designed to feel good in your hand. For my occasional use, that's fine and I'll learn how to use it better. But it definitely takes practice and will change the shape of what you're welding if you're not very good at it. I'm only giving it one star for the difficulty of learning it and poor ergonomics. I can't say anything about the longevity as I haven't used it that often.
