Review on Sceptre U278W 4000R 4K DisplayPort Monitor with Built-In Speakers and IPS Technology by Jessie Domakan

I really liked this monitor - when it worked. But it started flickering and showing thin gray horizontal lines on the screen (see photo) after less than 1000 hours of intermittent use (approximately < 2 years). Unfortunately, the warranty has expired and Scepter said they can't fix it and it's likely parts are no longer available. I asked if they could give me a discount to buy back a similar monitor as it failed much earlier than most monitors but they didn't give any particular consideration. I'm disappointed that Scepter doesn't endorse their products when these monitors have a short lifespan. Other customers seem to be seeing the same issue after a few years of use.
