I wanted to make a video review of the AKASO P10 tire changer, but the weather and lack of personal time did not allow it. HOWEVER, I had plenty of time to try the product. The device itself is pretty simple, like this type of tire inflation. The device is quite small and easy to store in the trunk or maybe even under the car seat. This tire inflator does not have its own battery and plugs into your car's cigarette lighter or 12V power socket. I've found that the 12v cable is probably long enough for most passenger cars. I have an RV that I tried the device on and found the cord to be a bit short for this application. The device also has a built-in white LED flashlight that can light up at night, as well as a red LED that flashes slowly or quickly when the light button is pressed again. The device's air hose is neatly stored on the back of the device along with the inflation needle and inflatable nozzle. The outer casing is made of plastic. The device also has a nice display on the front where you can set your desired pressure and follow the progress visually if you need that too. It also displays the current air pressure to which it can be connected. The busbar connector is a lever type, so it is very easy to connect. The device also has an overheat protection circuit that shuts off the device if it gets too hot. I had the opportunity to put the device through a pretty grueling tire test on my RV. One of the rear tires has lost air. Winter so I decided to try this AKASO P10 tire inflator. As I mentioned, the 12v power cord was a bit short for this particular application, so I hooked it up to my other car to get the job done. After I connected the air hose to the tire, the display showed the tire pressure was 13 pounds (up from 55 that should have been). Using the +/- buttons on the face of the inflator, I adjusted the pressure to 55 pounds, then hit the power button. The inflator started immediately and kept running until it hit the 55 pounds I had set it to, then shut off. Ideal! It took a few minutes to re-pressurize this tire, but it was a 16-inch truck tire that had deflated for all sorts of reasons. I also fully anticipated that the unit's thermal protection might kick in during this test, but I also checked for hot spots. The only part of the device that got hot was the air hose closest to the pump housing. Again, this was pretty extreme use of the AKASO P10 tire inflation, so I don't think having a heated tube next to the case will be a problem for most people. Bad little tire pump for the money and stronger than it looks! What sets the AKASO P10 tire pump apart from the rest is the ability to set the pressure you want and let it do its job. without having to stand guard. Set and forget!
