They're made for 18" director's chairs - a real plus - but it takes some effort to get them working. The problem is how the seat tarpaulin is attached to the wooden frame. There are two parts that need to be inserted into the seat: a small dowel that holds the seat attached to the wood of the legs, and a flat bar that puts pressure on the sides to keep the pad taut. Both don't work properly. As for the dowel, the lip on the end of the seat sheet was too thick to fit next to the bar when the seat sheet is inserted into the channel that holds it (at least for my chair). I finally managed to get it, but it wasn't easy. Of course, you can also cut the dowel to be shorter than the distance between the edges, but that's also a pain. There's just no room for the slats in the seat mount flap to insert them. I ended up attaching them to the underside of the armrests. This works fine, but it's not the way it's supposed to be.
