Review on Enhance Your Grip with Supacaz Super Sticky Kush Bar Tape by Alfonso Tipton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sticky, good grip, enough cushioning, difficult to wrap, wear under hoods.

Excellent grip. The ideal amount of cushioning. It is thick (3mm) and not very flexible. Not the easiest tape to wrap. It feels good. I sweat a lot and my hands get wet. This solved the problem. The edges are thick and can snag if you tend to drive a lot with your hands behind the hood. Mine started tearing after a few months. I wish it was thinner. I will probably return to Fizik Superlight Tacky. I prefer thinner tape. But if you like a thick band with good cushioning, this might be for you. I also like the ends of the poles. Let's see how long they last before they wear out too much for use. I will update later. To update. I've been using this bar tape for over 4 months and it still looks the same as the day I installed it. Like I said, he's fat. You have to be careful when you start wrapping behind the shifters as your hands can catch and pull on the tape if you move your hand back after shifting. You can see the white edge of the tape, it looks like it's going to fray, but it's just the edge of the tape. You must wrap tightly. He finds it impossible to break this bond. Wrap slowly and take your time. Will buy more Update #2 - After a year of use I just got tired of looking at this tape. It never wore out and had a great feel. Also good for riding if your hand sweats a lot (mine does). Since then I've tried two types of bar tape and I haven't really liked either of them. I have only one problem with the installation. It's a little tricky to wrap (as mentioned). But it's worth the time and effort. Will most likely buy again.
