I bought these lamps because, as I said, the lamp was necessary. I suspect this is just marketing support as I have since tried other CFLs with better results than this lamp. This lamp is fragile and can be difficult to install without breaking. It seems that the glass always dangles where it meets the base. Gives average illumination and is a bit overpriced.
