Medieval Minstrel Kings

After watching Corvus Corax for about 10 years and attending several concerts in Europe, I was thrilled to hear that Noir Records had finally introduced these masters of medieval music to the US. This DVD is an excellent recording of old and new Corvus Corax performances. The Wave Gothic Treffen recordings really capture the amazingly synchronized yet resonant live performances in the grand Agra hall. Her energy is visible even from a distance from the camera and screen. All of the main songs appear in their full versions, showcasing the bagpipes, drums and singing skills of this amazing band. The actual style of the film is very deliberate, showing each band member and their role in a specific song. This allows you to get close-ups that you just can't get while watching the show from the audience. There are some great views of various handcrafted tools. I had no problems with the sound of this piece. The audio was very clear in 2.0 stereo and when played through the speakers outside the TV offered enough volume to give the full impression of a Corvus Corax live performance. feathered for their decadent lifestyle. Of course, the "punishment" failed. And the band only played in humiliating and revealing feather covers. At the end we see a great video of Corvus Corax performing for the first time in the United States of America. It is presented in the form of a personal diary of the band and travel impressions, but also with excellent footage from the performances in Pennsylvania. If you are interested in Corvus Corax, you need this DVD. It has something for casual fans and die-hard followers alike. Corvus Corax remains one of the few remnants of an old tradition - not only in sound and looks, but also in ethics. Calm and down-to-earth behavior takes a back seat. These minstrels love to illustrate the hedonistic paths to be taken by anyone who truly dares to call themselves an "artist". Watch this video, take out your drinking horn and enjoy!
