$400 saved good on universal cleaners

I was quite skeptical at first but when I saw that it would cost me $400 to replace the blinds I decided to give it a try! Our shutters were 16 years old and very chalky. You get northern exposure light. After cleaning and applying two layers of restoration, they look great! The first photo is where we started. Chalk colored and faded shutters. In the second photo there is a chalk panel next to a layer of restoration. The third photo is one with one layer of restoration and one with two layers of restoration! Tip: Make sure you remove all the bubbles! I saw a video that said using cotton swabs for the corners, which worked great. If not, then know and show. Also, don't do it in direct sunlight. It dries too quickly and the bubbles won't come out. A weekend project, but not a difficult project. You should let them dry out of direct sunlight.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • don't remember but there was something
