Let me start by saying that the description is unbelievable, the battery life is nowhere near the 8 hours in bright light as advertised. I charged mine fully, then turned it on, placed it on the table and in less than 2.5 hours it was dimming and flashing red indicating less than 10% battery left. I bought this light for a 100 mile night bike ride, if I can't keep up with 40mph I will be pedaling in the dark. Secondly, it states a charging time of 2 hours. Not true, I would say again that my first charge lasted more like 5 hours and the battery was at least 30%. I plan to test medium settings and see how many hours I can get from it, maybe it will be good. enough to drive. The charging port for other devices, at least on mine, doesn't work at all, so forget about charging other devices. Who knows how much battery your flashlight would drain if it worked. I gave this flashlight 2 stars instead of 1 for several reasons. I probably would have given it a 3 if the description wasn't so far off. Number 1, this is definitely a great achievement for the time the battery lasts. So if you're traveling in the suburbs and your round-trip journey takes less than 90 minutes, this is probably a good buy for you. Number 2, it's pretty well built (heavy) but I think it's good. I mean you could probably hit a bear with it or something. Number 3, I found the mount to be very strong, I had to remove its insert and use a piece of bike tube instead because my handlebars were a bit larger. , this fix worked really well. Finally, the taillight seems to be the market standard for an Orb-style light, and since it's powered by 2032x2 button cells, it should last a while. If you expect a quality, long lasting light then spend $$$ and get one, but despite my review I think for the price this flashlight can serve many people very well for short trips or daily commutes.
