Review on 🎧 Sena SMH10-11 Bluetooth Motorcycle Headset/Intercom - Universal Microphone Kit (Single), Black by Douglas Jakab

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Speakers below average. Everything else is well built.

I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the speakers. The build quality and the ability to mount at a height. Pairing with the iPhone went smoothly. There are many optional velcro attachments to adapt it to your helmet. Operation was easy - it's just press a button and "Ask Siri" or turn the dial to +/- volume. However, the speakers are not very good - the base is very small, the caller's voice is very high-pitched. with a quiet and crackling sound (I tried them at home first with no ambient noise) I tried putting the speaker directly to my ears with the provided earbuds, even tried using donuts from my old headphones to get a better seal to achieve (only for testing). ). carefully and conscientiously). Nothing really worked - music and phone calls sounded bad. Also, at speeds over 30-40mph it was very difficult to hear the person calling me. I was heard well, so the mic noise cancellation worked as advertised (my helmet is a standard Bell Qualifier helmet with the face shield closed and the vents covered - not a "premium" quality helmet, but not bad either). Conclusion: If you are a city driver and usually drive at low speeds and frequent stops/movements, this communication system might be for you. If you have a super premium helmet (Shoei, Arai or others) you can have a lot less wind noise and the system will work for your application too. Hope that helps. gene
