Finally a cheap and reliable thermometer! I used it on Christmas Eve to check the temperature of my sausage balls and stuffed peppers. Thank goodness it was easy to use because at Christmas I had to rely on a few different people to regularly check the temperature of my $200 rib. It turned out amazing because I was able to maintain a constant temperature. The design is compact yet strong enough to hold comfortably so you don't have to worry about it falling off when you reach into a hot oven. The various meat temperatures are listed right on the unit, and there's a nice chart on the box, so I saved it and taped it to my cupboard. Two of my favorite extras: It's magnetic so you can stick it to the oven. and never lose! The light on the digital window is very bright. This is the first thing I could read with no lights and no glasses.
