Good fan but there were no mounting screws for the electrical box. So wasted time from the start. Make sure you save the ones you have or pick them up in advance. I used standard #8-32 3/4" mounting screws. The fan only came with simplified installation instructions. These are good enough when using a ground pole, but lack information for flush mounting. The time I tried to flush mount them, I gave up and installed with the bottom bar. Since I installed it alone, it was impossible to connect the wires while holding the motor with one hand due to fatigue. It's such a small section and easy to miss. Didn't see the hook to hold the motor flush, I think I was on the opposite side of that. Replacing the fan blades was tedious, there was no cutout/notch to fit my Phillips screwdriver so I had to bend the blades back and up during installation and ended up scratching the parts due to the tight fit. It also caused the blades to move off center after I was done. You will need a regular Phillips head screwdriver, not one that accepts various bits, the head is too big to fit in the space the screws fit. The manufacturer's description sounds like an experienced ceiling fan manufacturer, "much better than Hampton Bay, Harbor Breeze, Emerson, Hunter, Casablanca, Kichler and Fananimation," it says. That's absolutely not true. This week I removed and reinstalled several fans in different parts of the house and it was the worst installation I have ever had to do. All other manufacturers have come up with something to make the installation as easy as possible. They come with mounting screws in the electrical box, provide a highly visible and obvious hook to aid flush mounting, detailed installation instructions in the box rather than searching for it online, and a notch when installing the fan blades so you don't do the Do not damage fans. I would definitely not buy again. I still have to go back and remove and reinstall the fan blades as they are off center due to the horrible way they are installed.
