This was an economical solution to a small problem with my '99 Tacoma. Except that it really isn't. I bought one of these and installed it. When I turned it on at full speed, I heard a very noticeable high-pitched squeak. I thought it was an accident so I sent it back for a replacement. In the morning I installed a new one, you guessed it - the same problem, a high-pitched squeak when the fan turns on at high speed. While I can ignore the usual fan noise, whining isn't usually one of them. I'm sending my second one back for a refund. Saving money is good as long as it doesn't cost you something else that you don't want to pay for.
