We were on vacation and didn't want to keep refilling our water bottle or buying bottled water for formula. We bought what turned out to be a "suck-through-the-filter" bottle from the store. It will not work. That was excellent. TIP: Lift the back of the lid for easier filling. You can fill the thing from the tap and the water will taste like water from a filtered bottle. This made it incredibly easy to keep 3 adults and 2 children hydrated throughout the 7 day trip from 3 hotels. I used it to make water and then fill bottles. Worked perfectly. Now I buy as gifts for people who I know spend too much money on bottled water and produce too many empty bottles that end up in landfill!
