I saw the recommendations of these gloves on a bike forum and decided to buy a pair as they are not that expensive. When I received them I thought there was no way they could keep me warm considering how thin they are. I tried them out on a 2 hour horseback ride in 40 degree weather - the wind was moderate, around 10mph. When I first put the gloves on I had cold fingertips but I decided to try them out so I didn't take them off. After about 15 minutes my hands got warm and stayed warm for the rest of the ride. Halfway through I switched to my old pair of thicker gloves to compare the warmth. I kept the thicker gloves on for about 5 minutes, took off the old pair and put on a new pair of gloves. The old pair of thicker gloves no longer felt comfortable as a thicker glove meant a loss of dexterity. I'm sure these gloves will keep my hands warm in temperatures around 35 degrees Fahrenheit, if not colder. Warning - these gloves are NOT breathable so they can keep you warm despite being so thin. These gloves will keep you warm. This also traps sweat and the gloves get wet on the inside. I agree as I put the desiccant packs in my gloves to dry them when I get home. In the future I plan to wear nitrile gloves as a base layer and these gloves as an outer layer. Nitrile gloves are my moisture barrier to keep the inside of the gloves dry. This means I can wear them even in cooler temperatures. Happy cycling!
