Review on πŸ’ͺ MichaelPro MP007001 Flex Handle / Breaker Bar: Amplify Torque with 3/8 Inch Drive by David Angelboy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A well-made, versatile addition to the 3/8 drive kit

I got my first ratchet, 3/8 drive, when the MLK was still alive. In all that time I've never had a "switch" for a drive this size. This meant I had to take out the 1/2" head to use with the 1/2" breaker I had. One is 18 inches long, which means don't use the full length for the smaller clasps (or you'll break something). Also, sometimes that big breaker doesn't fit in the space I need it in. I've always used workarounds such as: B. Slide a short length of tubing over the 3/8 drive ratchet (not recommended). Now I have this "twin size". Many breakers are not wired, which can mean they require some effort to use. This one, like my premium 1/2" breaker, has a solid 3-position hinge. The three position part is important. You don't want a hinge that floats because it will cause you to slip. I had a floating head ratchet and ended up throwing it away. The handle on it has large ribs for gripping. I prefer grabbing to gliding, so I love this feature. This rod is heavy which means it is not made from cast metal or any other inferior material. He seems to be durable. It would take more force to break the handle than I can generate with this tool. Also use it as a ratchet extension for tightening or loosening. Or you can connect it to another breaker but I think if you have to do it you are doing it wrong and you need a different approach to remove that stubborn retainer. .I also like the heavy chrome finish because it's easier to clean. s Wipe down tools before putting them away. Most still look new after decades of use. Longevity is one of the benefits you get when you buy premium quality tools. You buy a tool once, not six times. You can use the savings to buy more tools to solve more problems.

Pros
  • 180 degree flexible head and optimized lever allow easy access into tight spots.
Cons
  • Easy serviceability
