Great replacement for Keurig blocks!

After 10+ K-Cups over the years and our 1 year old Costco 2.0 mod now having an issue with the cup holder (Keurig is sending a replacement), I've decided to look elsewhere from Keurig. I've also had Cuisinart units, which are basically Keurig in Disqise, which seemed a little better. And Bunn My Cafe, nice place but no water tank. I stumbled across this Mixpresso which looks like a good replacement for Keurig's troublesome and complicated blocks. And you can use any K-cups or self-inflating liners in it! I wasn't expecting the wow factor for the price. Upon arrival I unpacked it, added water and plugged it in. Easy setup, easy controls and seems like a good build. Within 30 seconds it produced a cup of hot water. Not very hot at 158 degrees but the second cup of water reached 186. Good. Brewed coffee from a regular K cup and it was great. Hotter brew water extracts more flavor and produces a hotter cup of coffee than Keurig machines. The device is quiet and brews a little slower than other devices, but that's not a bad thing as slower brewing results in more extraction from the grounds. Keurig coffee is approximately 155 degrees. Not hot enough for a good extraction, although it's said to brew at 192 degrees. The device is more compact and takes up less space. The water tank is smaller but enough for a few cups before filling. A larger tank makes the device bulkier and larger. The fact that the reservoir is on the back is a small downside, it's a bit more difficult to remove and fill, but it's not a big deal. Power button and 3 size buttons. Brilliant. No silly LED screens with multiple menus and such, simple and straightforward. At first glance, LED screens look cool, but after a few days that wears off. As mentioned in many reviews the instructions are in Jinglish and need to be translated into an American but is understandable. The process of manipulating the factory preset brew sizes is a little awkward, but with a few iterations it's possible. The device looks well built with the K Cup in place and snaps securely into place, unlike Keurig's newer devices that feel cheap. The device is stylish and simple. Makes an excellent cup of coffee. As long as it's a winner, as long as it works.
