Much more pleasant for all of us! My cat has a severe laceration on the hind leg, above the knee, from a dog attack. She was already traumatized from the attack and a visit to the vet for stitches, so the plastic cone was just awful. This is the first time she's had a cone and come out within 15 minutes. She used her injured leg in the skittle fight and I was concerned that she might aggravate the injury. Catching her to put back on was so difficult (long under heavy furniture) that she had time to remove a few stitches. This collar really changed everything. More comfortable, can eat and drink with it and doesn't let it get to the stitches (yet). Only problem is the clasp doesn't hold tight enough for her to eventually escape, but tying or securing the ropes helps. We could also pull it tighter than the plastic cone, which helps.
