I bought a Kingwin KW525-3U3CR along with a brand new computer that I was assembling. I got it mainly because of the extra USB 3 ports it provided. The card reader was just a bonus. After installation, the first thing I did was connect an external USB 3 hard drive to the panel to start transferring data to the new machine. I've never been able to get reliable file transfer for anything other than small files. Any large files or folders I tried to transfer always had some kind of error. But after I disconnected my drive from this panel and plugged it into the native USB port on the back of the computer, the transfer went smoothly. I tried using this panel over and over again over the next few days with the same results. I finally removed it from my computer. Unfortunately it's too late to send it back so I just lost $30 on a defective unit. Do not try other USB panels from this manufacturer with great confidence.
