Review on 🚴 M-Wave Cycling Bag for Bicycles by Dred Swindler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for carrying groceries

I wanted some baskets that would be handy for carrying groceries. I had already ordered a $100 pair from a bike shop to use for commuting. But it had too many pockets for me to carry groceries. I initially chose the M-Wave basket because it was cheaper than other basket-style shopping carts and I didn't want to spend a lot on another set of bags. I think I'll be canceling other bags now - this will work better for commuting as well. When I last (and first) went shopping with these bags, the store had a 12-pack sale if you bought three. I am happy to report that I was able to fit all 36 cans into the bags, as well as 4 boxes of granola bars, a large bottle of shampoo and 2 coffee mugs. Not sure I'd do it again - the pockets hold up well - but I don't think cloth baskets are rated for that much weight. The only thing I will change is to replace the 2 side straps with some kind of elastic band/hook. The existing straps are a bit awkward to fasten with one hand and don't fit very well. The center cutouts don't exactly match the spring detent on my Topeak rack, but close enough and definitely secure.

Pros
  • Tear-resistant 600D nylon
Cons
  • Hard to tell
