The first one came with a broken solar panel. The second one didn't look broken, in fact it fit perfectly in my Harbor Freight hood. A quick test with my welder showed it was still broken. It got dark enough that it didn't flash immediately, but when I adjusted the dimmer knob mid-weld, the dark portion just swept across my field of view without actually obscuring the entire lens. As if the electric charge wasn't evenly distributed across the lens. I decided to return it and just buy a new hood as I'm wasting time on production at the moment and my passive hood is annoying with constant use/low welding amperage.
