I am planning to use it in a camper where I drive on batteries at home. I'm planning to stream stuff to an amp via bluetooth. I'm currently testing it with a very old mini radio shop speaker (realistic) that's probably 30 years old. It sounds great. I've tried FM and it works but not sure how well. I didn't extend the antenna all the way, but it seems ok, not great. I'm not interested in that, I'm interested in streaming via Bluetooth. It was more than good. I connected a kilowatt to AC with a speaker. I turned everything to maximum volume (FULL BLAST) and at this point the sound sounds quite distorted. The highest peak kilowatt I saw was 13 watts. The average was significantly lower. The amp says 45W RMS. First, RMS has nothing to do with power measurement. This is incorrect as the performance is already average (I say there are no RMS watts). Second, they state that 45 watts x 4 equals 180 watts. Third, I saw a peak output of 13 watts, not average. The average value is well below 13 watts. I don't see how they can claim 180 watts. So there's some specs here, but it sounds pretty decent at the lower power levels. It will produce MUCH less audio power than advertised and is far from an audiophile's dream. However, it is worth the $48 I paid for my goals. Think of this thing as a bluetooth speaker with 4 big 12v speakers that sound pretty decent. That's why I got 5 stars from me. I haven't tried using the AUX input or the USB/SD card input, so I can't comment on how well these functions work. I have no reason to say that these features will not work as advertised. All I can say is that the Bluetooth streaming to this device is fine, but the audio output is much lower than advertised.
