This Verbatim drive is actually a Pioneer BD-RWBDR-UD03 v1.10. It comes with a regular USB 3 "A" to USB 3 "B" cable with an additional USB power dongle, which is common with external recording devices that require more USB power than the default . This drive comes with an optional optional power supply if your USB3 port does not support enough power to run the drive, which is very convenient and very thoughtful. Works well in terms of compatibility with DVD and Blu-ray media, I haven't made a stand on that yet :-) It's often preset to burn the media at a reduced speed, but as a compromise I personally would prefer a slower disc that doesn't run out balance than the faster one that does :) However, in read or "copy" mode, this drive is SLOWER than almost every other drive I've tried (and that's over 26 unique drives right now). ). Often with Blu-Ray, almost 1/2 speed. So keep that in mind if it's important to you.
