Bought these to fit the bottom of my Colosi Fryer. All silicone cooking utensils tend to take on strange smells when we use them (and sometimes they have strange or slightly industrial smells). ). My process is to wash them with soap and water, dry them, and then bake them on an open oven rack at 400°F (204°C) for an hour, turning them over after 30 minutes. It works out. I've seen people online baking their silicone cookies at 250°F (120°) for longer periods of time to reduce energy and heat usage to 450°F (230°C). Everyone reports success... I ordered the last few silicone helpers, I just take them out of the box, wash them and throw them in the oven. I heard it works with Instant Pot stamps too, so those are next! So far this has worked like a charm.
