I used to consider getting a rock drill but couldn't justify paying for as few holes as I drilled in masonry. I have some old sprocket drill bits and when I need to drill a hole or endlessly drill masonry, I just tap with them, but so does my cordless drill. Then I decided to build a workshop in the basement: lots of holes. When I saw the ridiculous price of this device, I thought it COULD do the job. That was almost a year ago and it's still going on. I use it all the time for hammer drills and regular drilling. It's just incredibly good for the price. When I first got it, it smoked and smelled a bit, which I dismissed as acceptable for a $20 drill, and he eventually quit smoking. This drill bit is an amazing orange color and is 'Resistant' which isn't exactly a top brand but if you fancy drilling some holes this is it.
