Reliable and affordable drill that suits me perfectly.

I needed a drill with a rated speed in excess of 1500 rpm and this drill seemed to fit the bill. The price was outstanding, although I was a bit wary based on some reviews. I am pleased to report that the drill worked perfectly. I used it with a punch attachment and it did the job I needed for cutting sheet metal. It looks smart, a little reminiscent of drill presses from the 70's and 80's with the B&D color scheme. It comes with a tension wrench and even has a wrench holder on the power cord…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Some Small Items

Well, I was a little reluctant to buy this because of the low price. Now I'm wondering how this drill can be sold at such a low price. I actually bought this thing because I had to drill 10 holes in masonry and since my Makita battery was dead I needed a boost. This drill did the job. Once I get used to the chuck, I prefer it to my Makita's quick-load mechanism. The stalwart holds the bits better. The only knock is that it's quite loud, which could be normal and I was drilling in a small space.

Pros
  • Power tools and hand tools
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Very orange, drills holes

I used to consider getting a rock drill but couldn't justify paying for as few holes as I drilled in masonry. I have some old sprocket drill bits and when I need to drill a hole or endlessly drill masonry, I just tap with them, but so does my cordless drill. Then I decided to build a workshop in the basement: lots of holes. When I saw the ridiculous price of this device, I thought it COULD do the job. That was almost a year ago and it's still going on. I use it all the time for hammer drills…
