Review on ZenART Espresso Watercolor Beginners Aspiring by Maria Karkhanis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for beginners or painting on the go

Seems to be thoughtful product design, such as B. a plastic splash guard to prevent paint from being contaminated by paint residues in the mixing containers when closing. The addition of a sample card was a nice touch. And the plastic is removable so the surface underneath can be used as extra mixing pads. The sticker on the case was crooked, making it difficult to open the case, but this was probably an unusual occurrence. The starch on the flat brush melted slightly and the water brush held up well, but I liked using my own brushes better. Colors are a bit opaque and don't bloom well, but that's to be expected from student colors. The color selection is good, the pigments match well. The colors also dry very quickly and are well pigmented. Even though paints are sold by the half cup, they are significantly less than half a can. I find the product a bit overpriced but considering ZenArt also offers watercolor tutorials using these specific paints, buying this set is like buying supplies and painting lessons. I think this is a great set for beginners or those who like to paint with watercolor brushes on the go.
