Wow, VERY impressive

I bought this Pyle-Pro PDMIC58 to compare to another cheap mic, the Vayohee Wired Dynamic Mic, which is about $2.50 less. I need some mics for a candidate forum in the next few weeks and didn't want to break the bank so I tried these two to see which (for the price) would be better. I was SHOCKED at how good they are. The Pyle Pro's sound and build, not just compared to other plastic mics, but overall and for the price. For a mic under $20 ($15.57 at time of review), the Pyle Pro PDMIC58 is EXTREMELY well built. It's all metal with a metal body, metal grille and decent mic capsule. It comes with very little foam in the grille to keep out wind noise or explosives, but I found it pretty useless and immediately added a large windscreen. The microphone sounds really good, with very little noise and a clear, crisp sound that isn't too heavy in either the low or high frequencies. It's a fairly accurate representation of the natural sound, which I like because I can customize my mixer to suit my tastes. The mic comes with a pretty good 15 foot 1/4" XLR cable. 6 like me) this Pyle-Pro PDMIC58 is a great choice that won't break the bank.
