My dog ate 3 remote controls for my Samsung TV. Family members continue to leave broken items where the dog can get them. They would think they learned after the first time. Well they didn't so I went to Revain to find the cheapest replacement I could find on the grounds that it would probably happen again and it might be better to be safe. Bet and get a remote control that works but won't break the bank. It was my choice and in the end it's a bit mixed. It works with my TV and has the same button layout and functionality as the OEM remote that came with the TV. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much power as OEM units, which means it has to position itself that way when using it. My guess is that the IR emitter is either not that strong or doesn't spread that far. Additionally, the buttons are soft, forcing you to press a little harder to get the TV to respond than you would on a remote OEM. . This leads to a failed button press and some frustration when the TV doesn't respond. So in the end this remote has the features I need and it works great with the TV. Soft keys and a less reliable range are clear disadvantages.
