Review on ECHOGEAR 20U Open Frame Rack for Servers & AV Gear - Durable 4 Post Design with 2 Vented Shelves & Wall Mount Capability by Terence Dardant

Everything I was hoping for and more!

Everything I was hoping for plus a few extras. The stand is very durable. The power amp I just put on the bottom rack weighs about 82 pounds and nothing! I'm probably around 150 pounds and it still slides back and forth. By the way, the marks on the floor are from the previous owner of the house, and the legs of the echo mechanism are not scratched. I ran out of space in just a few months, so I added a 10U wall shelf from the same company. above mine. 10U is designed for wall mounting, therefore no feet are included, only stacking screws. It's a bit pricey for a small unit with just two 1U shelves, but it saved the used hardware I picked up. I also added extra brackets on the back facing inwards. Gave a better look at my top open shelf. I ended up ordering wheels. Two racks on top of each other became too heavy to slide in and out. It was difficult to attach the wheels but with two people you can tip one side and attach them and then tip the other side. Be careful with the second side as the first side is now on wheels and the wheels don't have a lock! In summary, this is a solid open rack that should last forever. Buy a few extra shelves and accessories and you can create your own masterpiece. Thanks for reading, good luck and YMMV.
