I use this little guy with my Sony A6000 and it works as advertised. Turn on the remote control option in the Sony menu and the remote control will automatically sync with the camera. The optional 2-second delay trigger comes in handy when I'm in the frame and want to get the remote out of the way. This is a handy feature as sometimes you really have to POINT the remote control at the camera to get a signal. While the remote is plastic and doesn't feel substantial, it's very durable. I had it at the bottom of my travel backpack, it got smashed by all sorts of gear and I had no problems. I even accidentally dipped it in a hot spring in Idaho! After drying for several days, he recovered and forgive me a possibly watery death.
