I have never dropped this headset, I always put it off after playing, away from any danger. I've had this headset for about 2 months, maybe a few weeks less - after prolonged use it basically toggled between mute and unmute (arguably my most abused headset feature) and something weird happened: when the mic was muted, the Volume I can hear my friends going up at the party (but they are still VERY LOW). When the microphone is on - I DON'T HEAR FRIENDS AT ALL. It's like the volume goes down even more when I'm supposed to hear them talking to them. This headset is garbage. It was perfect at first, although prolonged use put a strain on my head and I had to use a rag to compress my head.
