I have to admit, this is the best material! I used to be in the boat business so my expectations are a bit higher than most and I used to work in many boat factories. I bought my underage boat that was neglected. The graphics were torn and the gelcoat was heavily worn, with light to medium oxidation, with most of the black gelcoat etched with hard water. I sanded 1000-2000 light to medium scratches and filled in a thumbnail sized chip. The composition of the first step ate the traces of sand, etching and oxidation very quickly, leaving a beautiful shine. Steps 2 and 3 delivered a high gloss finish that was probably better than it was 12 years ago when the boat left the Four Winns factory. The exposed gelcoat and the gelcoat that was underneath the graphics are now indistinguishable. It literally looks like a mirror when you look straight into black. I also bought a premium Dewalt bumper and all three 3m spacers, white, black and blue. This is a professional setup as I wanted to get it right the first time. I thought it was a very simple and clear system. Over the weekend I added thousands of dollars to the value of my boat!
