Works very well! in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

We recently got a new 2018 Mac Mini and it uses USB-C. We wanted to connect the HP EliteDisplay 241i via DisplayPort, and we succeeded. Works very reliably. The DisplayPort connector on this cable doesn't have a latch, but that's okay. Latches are an optional feature of the DisplayPort standard and are not required because all DisplayPort connectors have friction latches, as do USB-A, HDMI, and MiniDisplayPort connectors. I know a lot of people don't like latches because monitors are often in hard-to-reach places and it can be difficult to press the release button while holding the connector to remove it. With this cable, you don't have to worry about that. The connectors on both ends of this cable are of good quality. They are smooth and well made. They also connect securely and firmly to both the monitor's full-size DisplayPort connector and the Mac Mini's USB-C connector. The monitor goes to sleep and wakes up properly and they left the relevant pin disconnected as specified by the VESA DisplayPort standard (some incompatible cables connect all the pins in a DisplayPort connector and this causes all sorts of electrical problems since the pin must be disconnected, is only intended to power active video adapters and should never be connected to passive DisplayPort cables). I'm glad they don't use gold plating on the base shell. This material peels off and penetrates everywhere, leaving the connector shell badly frayed. The pins are gold plated to prevent corrosion as any quality cable should. If I needed another one of these, I would definitely buy these again.
