Works very well! in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

We recently got a new 2018 Mac Mini and it uses USB-C. We wanted to connect the HP EliteDisplay 241i via DisplayPort, and we succeeded. Works very reliably. The DisplayPort connector on this cable doesn't have a latch, but that's okay. Latches are an optional feature of the DisplayPort standard and are not required because all DisplayPort connectors have friction latches, as do USB-A, HDMI, and MiniDisplayPort connectors. I know a lot of people don't like latches because monitors are often in…

It takes you to 144Hz bliss! UPDATE: The cable failed on April 27th.

This adapter solved my problem. I bought an MSI Optix G27C and had all sorts of problems with it which this cable solved. I have an Acer Aspire V 17 Nitro BLACK EDITION with a GTX 1060 and tried to use the included HDMI cable and it hurt my neck to make it do what it's supposed to. You can only get 120Hz with HDMI and I've had all sorts of problems trying to run it this way from my laptop. He blinked and all that crap. I thought the monitor was defective! I finally got this USB-C to DisplayPort

Freesync (or a G-Sync compatible VRR with an Nvidia card) works.

I was hesitant to get this as the seller's response in the Q&A said it doesn't work with G-Sync/VRR. TLDR: It works, or at least with my setup which is a Legion 5i with 10750H and 1660TI paired with a Legion Y25-25 1080p 240hz Freesync monitor (G-Sync tested). You need a USB-C port on your laptop or computer that supports Alt mode DisplayPort output over USB-C, which not all ports do. For example, the Nitro 5 with AMD 4600H doesn't have this feature, despite being a current gen and having a…

The long search is over

My search began when I received a late 2016 13-inch MacBook Pro and needed to connect it to a 30-inch Dell 4K monitor at work . I knew the monitor had DisplayPort so I went to my local Apple Store to find out. The red shirts there apparently didn't know there was such a thing as a "DisplayPort" connector and kept offering their Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. Thought I might give it a try since I used a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable to connect from my previous computer. What is…

I am using a dual monitor expansion card - Matrox Dual Head2 Go only for my Macbook Pro 2016 USB C. I have first tried using the Apple USB-C to MiniDisplayport adapter to connect to the Matrox Dual Head cable, but that didn't work. I had to call Matrox, who said Apple's "adapter" supposedly wasn't working, and ordered this cable (USB-C to Displayport) from Plugable. To my surprise and great joy, it started straight away with no problems. I'm disappointed in Apple (it's been a slow, gradual, and

Works great with Alienware 13 R3 gaming laptop

The Alienware 13 R3 supports multiple external monitor ports: HDMI, Mini DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C). HDMI works great but is typically limited to 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz. I bought a MiniDP cable and was able to run 4K at 60Hz, but YouTube full screen videos in 4K were a bit slow. I've been hearing good things about Thunderbolt from my Mac friends, so I decided to give it a try by purchasing a pluggable USB-C to DisplayPort adapter cable. I've heard a lot about the Plugable service and…

Good product and even better customer service.

I bought this cable to connect an Acer VN7-793G laptop to an Asus VG248QE monitor and use a 144Hz refresh rate. This worked as expected. But after 3 months the laptop didn't recognize the monitor and showed a blank screen. After some troubleshooting I found that the cable was dead. I thought about buying a new cable from another manufacturer but remembered Plugable's 1 year warranty and emailed them. I've provided as much information as possible in an email, including the Revain order ID, order
