It was a bit difficult to mount the light directly on the ceiling - no matter what I do it hovers about half an inch from me. Not a terrible downside, but something to be aware of. It's easy to toggle the heat of the light during installation, but the light must be removed to toggle the sound, technically exposing high-voltage lines and doing so regularly would not be safe. I don't see that as a problem, but one should be aware of it. Last minor downside - I would recommend not using the cable connectors that come with it. They don't appear to be of high quality and actually appear to be quite dangerous as they don't hold the wires well. Replace with better quality quick disconnects or standard swivels. The light is attractive and even. Almost like a solar tunnel.
