This is my third steam basket. I had one about 25 years ago, don't know where it ended up, but it was a well made basket, made in the USA. Bought last year to use with an instant pot. Began to fall apart after about two months. Eventually the second sheet fell off so I threw it away after another attempt to fix it. Now I finally have one that looks like it will hold up to everyday use. UPDATE: I used it again, this time for green beans. Unfortunately, even with the lid in place and latched, my Instant Pot liner failed. I was made aware of the BURN condition and saved my beans. The little green silicone pads on my feet stayed intact! The beans were ok too! Returning to this review to make corrections, I flipped through the reviews. What people don't seem to know is that this was made for use in an InstantPot and not on the stovetop over a flame in a large pot. However, it works great in both my 6 and 8 liter instant jars. If I can fit a pound of green beans or broccoli in my 6 gallon steamer, that's enough for me. To be honest, I don't have a large saucepan at least 12 inches in diameter, so I wouldn't try it on the stovetop, but I'm sure it will work with a little care so the veggies don't spill.
