I was a bit hesitant to buy this backpack - I didn't see it and none of the locals had it. However, it turned out great. It's very handy as a hydration pack, but this pack also comes out completely and can be used like a regular pack (that's how I use it). It can hold a full change of clothes or a laptop plus a few small items. I carry a 15" MacBook Pro, a few items like tubes/snacks/tissues/deodorant and sometimes a clean shirt and underwear (I leave my pants at work). can be tucked into one of the pockets. The Airstripes- System appears to help direct airflow onto the back and keep it from choking, but this isn't magic and you'll still end up putting on a backpack and sweating (especially in the heat), but this is at By far the lightest backpack you will find. Chest and waist straps help keep it in place and distribute the load.
