Two bikes and some heavier garden equipment are currently hanging.
Easily holds the weight of a pair of horrible special Walmart Super Heavy Bikes that we break when we have guests, family and the city. They were removed from the ground, making room for a lawnmower and lots of other garage debris underneath. The place seems almost empty due to better storage. The remaining six were used to hang tools and a ladder. They are meaty.
