These screws are very strong and work exactly how I wanted them to. When I finished all 100 I actually bought a few more boxes. I built a new set of living room coffee/end tables out of hardwood (walnut, padoac, mahogany, etc.) and had to attach the tops with clamps; The screws should be #8 3/4 inch, which is small. The screws that usually come with the mounts you buy from Home Depot, Lowes, Ace etc are not of high quality. In fact I've stopped buying most of these guys screws as the quality just keeps dropping - ripping off heads and twisting them all at once which is a terrible pain in the butt. They worked great! I have not used any of the 100+ with my hammer driver. The black finish is beautiful and durable.
