I was glad to get this replacement remote for my Vizio soundbar and it worked right out of the box. However, the LED screen is very dim. To the point I thought I had a bad remote and couldn't tell if it even worked until I held it 6 inches from my face. It's ironic, because that's why I needed a new remote in the first place - my Vizio remote screen went blank a while ago. At the same time, I use a programmable universal remote control, but controlling the soundbar with it is cumbersome. At least that's what I thought. As it turns out, these remotes do get dimmer (over time? I don't know) and require fully charged batteries for readings to be visible. And according to the company that sells them, you can't use rechargeable batteries. I'm not keen on throwing non-rechargeable batteries in the landfill, especially since the batteries will still power other devices just fine if they're not fully charged. This is bad design, 100%. This fake remote not only duplicated the issue with the brand remote, it duplicated it and the error is a little bit worse (LED indicators are even dimmer). The remote control is practically unusable. I will be going back to my signature remote and recharging the batteries regularly. hope this works
