Review on ๐Ÿš˜ AIR LIFT 59520 Rear Air Spring Kit - Enhanced Ride Control for Improved Performance by Leroy Jacobs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I have air/heat lines behind the axle and I did it anyway!

I have a 2000 Town and Country Limited Edition. it has towing lines behind the axle running alongside the chassis frame. Thus, the use of the supplied bracket was not possible, unless the lines were routed. It wasn't an option. I bought these knowing I would have to CHANGE something to make these air springs work. Well, good old Yankee ingenuity paid off! There is a small flat platform at each end of my axle. After drilling I was able to pass an air intake after cutting off some plastic on the springs. then my landing gear was right over it. I used the bottom plate at the top and drilled and screwed it in, giving me a secure place to mount the lift. Note this is installed upside down but still works PERFECTLY! If you have a good drill, big sharp bits, a parting tool or a grinder, you can modify this system for your van too. Anyone who would like me to send real photos of my modification please email me. BY THE WAY. They are MUCH better than Gabriel's air shocks which Revane said would fit my van. You are not ! The knuckles were too small for the shocks to hit the chassis! My hitch was originally 7.5 inches off the ground. Now, after installation, the hitch is 11.5 inches off the ground! It also looks like racing traction! It was NOT an easy task. about 4 hours. The air gun helps a lot. Lower the lower firing pin for the rig. Much luck!
