Review on BDL170 Bullseye Auto Leveling by BLACK+DECKER by George Walker

This is my autolevel for projects at work. For this money the value is very high. I wouldn't say it's the perfect level, but for a graphic artist who needs the auto level feature with one hand and the other to mark, it's perfect for getting "in the level zone". Is it ideal - no, but also the floors and walls and ceilings. If you're not spending more than $150, this is as good as it gets. I tried various other options with different prices. Nothing compares to everything it has to offer. Now I need them in my friend's work bags. I would say the farther from base the worse +/- gets. The range is said to be (apparently) 16 feet +/- 1/8 inch. I would say that is not correct. It's closer to 1/4 inch + 16'. I would use this no more than about 8ft from the base with leveling marks on that 8ft path and then level the marks to "pull up" the level. This method allows you to cover long distances. If it needs to be perfectly level, a rotary laser is the best option.
