Save Money: Safety

Has worked flawlessly for the first 1.5 years when connected to an Apple Home Pod. Has stopped working and indicated the need for replacement. Contacted First Alert and they no longer do it. So what is the point of a 10-year guarantee. Replaced by a model without "Home Kit". Terrible warranty support.
