Good vacuum cleaner except for one fatal flaw. The brush does not stop rotating when you place the vacuum cleaner in a vertical position. When I FIRST time used the rotating brush frayed the power cord (see picture). You could call it user error, but I even expected it to happen. I used a hose and held the cleaner upright at the highest level of the carpet to prevent the cord from getting underneath. HE STILL WANTED THE POWER CORD while I was moving with the hose. Luckily I caught him fast enough that he didn't reach the live wires. The power cord is also VERY LOW on the vacuum, making it more likely to get stuck under the brush. I can fix it with tape but I'd rather get my money back. This is a serious safety issue, I would look for a vacuum that stops the roller and I would definitely not allow young people to use this vacuum. UPDATE 10/14/21: After 1.5 months of ownership, the cable has frayed in 6 different places! The second picture shows all the tape I had to use. I called Hoover and they told me to stop using the vacuum but they will not refund or replace the unit as the problem was my fault. Luckily, Revain returned my money when Hoover stopped supporting their products. And just to be clear, I'm not an idiot who can't use a vacuum cleaner. I use power tools regularly, including grinders, table saws, and grinders, and still have all my fingers and cords except for this thing. Revain's customer support is excellent. Vacuum cleaner warranty is worthless. Shop for roller vacuums.
