Review on πŸ”₯ Heartland Energy Saving Dryer Vent Cover - Adapts to Outdoor Siding by Johnny Grant

Requires easy, inexpensive upgrade

Dehumidifier vent as sold does not provide adequate cold air isolation, so I added an upgrade. See photos and short video above. As sold, the seal between the floating cups is inadequate - it leaks and lets cold air through - helps, but still not good enough. After adding Frostking Soft Door Seal, the vent seals well and keeps cold air out. You need this simple improvement to completely solve the problem of cold air getting into the dryer vent tube - the reason you bought this product in the first place. The protective foam is light enough to keep the swim cup floating and prevent hot, humid air from escaping. It's also soft enough to seal very effectively when the dryer is off. Watch a short video showing a levitating mug. How well the foam holds up to the weather over time has to be determined, but it's easy to swap out on a regular basis. stabilizers. I have a background in materials science and polymers are usually mixed with light stabilizers at a slight additional cost. The manufacturer could have just specified the plastic beads with the UV stabilizer, they didn't bother. Shame on them for not paying attention to this important detail.
